The German biathlets did not make it on the podium in the penultimate mass start race of the World Cup season. At the success of the Norwegian Vetle Sjastad Christiansen on Saturday in Otepäää / Estonia in front of the new total World Cup winner Quentin Fillon Maillet from France and Severt Guttorm Bakken from Norway was Erik Lesser Best of the five Germans. The 33-year-old Thuringian was after the 15 kilometers as fifth after a penalty of 38.6 seconds behind the error-free of Christiansen.
Elters became Philipp Nawrath (2 penalty trials / + 1: 03.5 minutes). As a 14th ended Benedict doll (3/1: 26.8) the race, followed directly by Roman Rees (1/1: 40,6). Rank 18 came Johannes Kühn (4/2.08.5).
Currently the total World Cup secured Fillon Maillet. The 29-year-old French can not take the big crystal ball before the last races in the next week in Oslo.
