Does House of the Dragon Darkness? Explained
According to Hbomaxhelp’s Twitter account, darkness problems seem to have been a postproduction problem. Some nocturnal sequences in House of the Dragon filmed during the day and, once finished, the postproduction took charge and attenuated the lighting to create the illusion of darkness.
However, for this case, the dark images were an intentional choice of the creative team of House of the Dragon, as a user explained to HBO’s Twitter account.

This is not the first time that the world of Westeros was too dark so that fans could see what was happening. During the last season of Game of Thrones, the The Long Night episode was also strongly criticized by the spectators for being too dark to see what was happening.
